This page is dedicated to my faithful companion and beloved dog, Nikki. She was adopted on April 5, 2001. She was a rescued shelter dog from a rehabilitation dog shelter in Connecticut. She was a handful at times but generally a sweet dog that loved everyone. Nikki came to work with me almost everyday by riding along with me in my truck. She would sit under my desk in the veterinary doctor office while I worked relief veterinary shifts. Nikki moved with me around the country, from Connecticut, to New Jersey, Utah, and then, finally Illinois. She loved to go on walks around the neighborhood or hikes in the mountains everyday. She was my inspiration for taking the Chi Institute Acupuncture Course so that I could aid her suffering from severe arthritis in her old age. Nikki benefited from many sessions of electrical acupuncture and supplementation with herbal and supplemental therapies. Sadly, Nikki was humanely euthanasia from complications from liver cancer in June 2013. She is missed everyday by those who loved her.
